Former President George W. Bush has added his voice to those calling for immigration reform.
"I think it's very important to fix a broken system, to treat people with respect, and have confidence in our capacity to assimilate people," Bush told ABC in an interview broadcast Sunday. "It's a very difficult bill to pass because there's a lot of moving parts. And the legislative process is – can be ugly ... But it looks like they're making some progress."

An immigration bill has passed the Democrat-controlled Senate but is encountering difficulty in the Republican-controlled House.
Bush, a Republican, is scheduled to address a citizenship ceremony and a forum on immigration Wednesday at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas. He is expected to renew his call for immigration reform and speak about the issue in more detail at that time.
Bush tried to get such a bill passed during his presidency but failed.
